Fracture of hamate treatment options
Non-surgical treatment
When the fracture is severe and not displaced, immobilization for six weeks in a cast is sufficient. Hand therapy will often be required.
Surgical treatment
When the fracture is displaced or has not fused, surgery would involve removing the displaced bone fragment. This is often enough to reduce symptoms and restore hand function.

The treatment exceeded my expectations. I was able to resume my normal activities, I who foresaw a long convalescence, without music and without sport. Thank you Dr. Brutus!
