Thumb sprain treatment
Non-surgical treatment
For a minor tear, splinting will be required for four to six weeks, followed by physical therapy.
Surgical treatment
If the tendon is completely torn, surgery is the best option. The procedure is minimally invasive and involves stapling or anchoring the ligament to the bone. Treatment should not be delayed, as an improperly treated tear can result in osteoarthritis.

The treatment exceeded my expectations. I was able to resume my normal activities, I who foresaw a long convalescence, without music and without sport. Thank you Dr. Brutus!
